Coromandel Players presents: The Wedding Dress, a musical play written, composed and to be directed by Coromandel local Brooke Dennehy Lakin.
This comedy-drama, suitable for all ages, is centred around a wedding dress as it is prepared for a wedding celebration where it will be worn for the third time within the family. Secrets, surprises, and suspicions are revealed as the dress is slowly tailored to suit the bride and changing traditions of the family.
To bring this play to the stage, Coromandel Players are looking for nine actors/actresses to fill the following roles:
Tailor: Male or female (40+)
Delila: Female (45 – 60)
Eloise: Female (20 – 35)
Cassandra: Female (30 – 40)
Lottie: Female (20 – 35)
Philip: Male (45-65)
Fox: Male (40-60)
Dorothea: Female (70+)
Nona: Female (70)
A strong singing voice is not a necessity but a plus.
A meeting will be held at 4pm on the 1st of May 2022 at Hauraki House Theatre with all interested peoples to discuss the play, the roles, and to hear the music!
Auditions will be the week following, time TBC, 8th May 2022 in the Hauraki House Theatre.
