5K Exhibition – King’s Birthday 2026, Kūaotunu
A very well-attended opening of the 5K Art Exhibition in Kuaotunu was followed by a steady stream of visitors over the King’s Birthday long weekend in late May and early June.
Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour 2026 – Twenty Wonderful Years of Art
In 2006 a small group of artists in Coromandel and Colville decided to organise the very first Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour. It was a bit of a risk starting from scratch with very little funding and no idea how many visitors would make the trip to our isolated but special region.
United Makers Gallery

Carved From Stone – This June, Vessel Art Gallery in Thames presents Bowled Over, a new exhibition by local artist Stuart Hislop celebrating a remarkable milestone: one year of creating hand-carved stone bowls.
