ENTER THE WHANGAMATA ARTS COLLECTIVE HARCOURTS YOUTH ART AWARD at the 2019 BIG ARTS DAY OUT
WHEN: Judging and presentation of prizes Wed 9th January at an evening of music wine and nibbles 5.30 – 7.30. (The exhibition lasts from 9th to 11th January 2019)
WHERE: Memorial Hall, Port Road, Whangamata
PRIZES: 1st PRIZE – Harcourts Trophy and $250
2nd PRIZE – $150
3 rd PRIZE – $75
Commended – $25
This competition is open to students from year 9 to year 13 who attend either Thames High School, Waihi College, Mercury Bay, Coromandel or Whangamata Area Schools OR who are home schooled within the region. Students must be under 18 years of age.
THEME: WHO I AM or WHO WE ARE
MEDIA: paint, print, mixed media or sculpture
SIZE: Sculpture – max 1metre high x 50cm width/depth All other work no larger than A2
