The Wild Womens Weekend is back for 2022. They’ve got new shows, including cooking, art, and the famous Jamie McDell, in an exclusive show at Whangamatā Club Inc.
A weekend of fun from May 13th – 15th, in Whangamatā, on the Coromandel. Get away with friends, take some time out, shop, play some sport, have fun, stare meet new ones. A wild weekend at Whangamatā Beach. They will have events, dinner, fitness, and dancing for a weekend you will not forget (or you might… they won’t judge!) at the sea.

Wentworth Valley Walk

A sensational walk and a wonderful way to blow out Friday night or start the weekend.

The Art Class
Saturday 14th May, 9am
Heather Watt and Sue Jamieson are two of our most contemporary artists. Their 3-hour workshop at the Whangamatā Memorial Hall will be a highlight of the weekend.
They offer several different media to work with including paint, fabrics etc providing a sense of creativity and fun.
Get your friends together, learn how to upcycle and release the artist inside you at this brand-new event for Wild Womens Weekend.
Class includes all materials you need and light refreshments.

Whenuakura Island Tour (Kayak or SUP)
Saturday 14th May, 9.30am
Surfsup is Whangamatā ‘s premier tour operator. The experience includes a 2hr guided kayak paddle to the Whangamatā Wildlife Sanctuary or choose the Whitebait River to Sea tour on Otahu River on SUPs.

The Wild Cooking Challenge

Here’s some great party-foods from Jane Rangiwahia – featured in Women’s Day!
Jane will be hosting a cooking class on Saturday the 14th at 10am – only at Wild Womens Weekend. She will supply the ingredients (including any dietary needs) recipes, guide you through the process and inspire you to create.

Walking Through Your Wardrobe, with Mary Silverton
Saturday 14th May, 11am
Mary Silverton from Self-Image Styling returns in 2022 with a new workshop. Hugely popular year after year, Mary presents this unique session. Mary partners with local boutiques like Bettie Munro, and the session is interactive and informative.

Wild Wacky Golf at Williamson
Saturday 14th May, 1pm
She Loves Golf and Whangamatā Golf Club present Wild Wacky Golf.
On arrival, be welcomed and offered a Wild Wacky Punch or two.
Answer 10 wacky golf questions, receive some golf tips, bonus points for costume and quiz answers.
Then a 9-hole Ambrose, shotgun start. Winners are determined by a combination of quiz, dress, and score. Clubs supplied if needed.

Saturday Night Star: Jamie McDell

‘Carl the Chef’ from Whangamatā Club Inc has arranged some delectable dishes for the VIP Night with Jamie McDell.
Now with three albums under her belt – including her gold debut ‘Six Strings and A Sailboat’, Jamie is set to tour the states in late May. Carl the Chef is the culinary superstar on her exclusive Wild Women’s Concert, just before she leaves. You don’t want to miss this one.
