Heather Watt

Heather Watt is a mixed media artist living in Whangamatā and has been creating artwork for as long as she can remember. Her eclectic style incorporates collage materials and a variety of paint mediums. Acrylic, ink, materials, papers, found objects and rescued wood are used to multi-layer and develop texture throughout her work. I also love corten steel and bring art into the outside in the way of "Solid Statements.” The stunning environment of Whangamatā is a recurring homage in Heather’s works. She is passionate about developing her practice and experimenting with various medium. She also facilitates mixed media workshops in the community and by invitation to other locations. Heather is the Mentee Co-ordinator for the Creative Coromandel’s pArtner Up mentoring programme. Heather is a committee member for the Whangamatā Arts Collective and Creative Coromandel.
