Live at The Londons Episode 7!

Lovely to have had James pop down for an afternoon to record this show - playing sax, melodica and Irish whistle and crooning a tune or two for us in his inimitable style. We played Route 66, I'd Never Let My Daughter Out With Frank Sinatra, Emily Bay, There's a Table Set For Two, Exactly Like You, Concrete Block Motel and as he had the Irish whistle handy, Whiskey in The Jar.

We've made the show public once again but we're grateful for donations to our 'virtual tip jar'. You can do this on PayPal; just enter my email address which is andrewlondon11@gmail.com. If you'd rather not use PayPal, send me an email and I'll give you a bank account number. Please continue to send in requests for songs and we'll include what we can in up-coming shows. Also jokes for me to run past Judge Kirsten (I think I'm getting better at picking them) and, our new challenge, a limerick please. Here's mine today:

Now that we're at level two

there is just so much more we can do.

We had James T. and Wayne

play our favourites again,

and even some songs that are new!

So, using the starting line 'Now that we're at level two' write your own version and send it in. Our team of literary experts will pick the worthiest!

K and I are back playing the Robert Harris cafe on Wednesday mornings from 8.30-10.00am. This gig is really important for our match-fitness - trying new songs and arrangements etc. The coffee & food are terrific and we have a great bunch of regulars...it's become quite a scene.

Other gigs confirmed as follows:

Friday 5th June: A & K at Otaki RSA from 6.00pm.

Sunday 7th June: Andrew solo at Dockside in Wellington from 1.00-3.00pm

Sunday 14th June: Trio plays The Pavilion, Days Bay 6.00-9.00. No charge (ridiculous). With JTJ.

Sat 27 June: Too Many Chiefs Winter Concert at Whakaipo Lodge, Taupo. 1.00-3.00pm, $35.00. Details here!

Friday 4th July: Grand Hotel in Whanganui! probably with JTJ as well - let's have an American theme to fit in with Independence Day! We'll do our 'Trump Suite'. It's $55.00 for dinner & show - call 06-345 0955 or email to book.

Just a word about the Too Many Chiefs Winter Concert at Whakaipo - all tickets must be bought from Eventfinder for contact-tracing purposes- here's the link.

Best wishes to everyone....keep your distance but keep in touch! Cheers
