On the 23rd of September, the Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) assessment panel came together to consider this round’s applications, and it was clear that creativity is thriving across the Coromandel.
The panel was faced with a very strong field of applications, with an exciting range of projects, events and creative activities proposed across the region. From different art forms and creative practices to projects bringing people and communities together, the quality and variety of applications made for a great discussion.
With limited funding available, the panel has the challenging task of distributing support across a range of communities, art forms and creative opportunities. We’re grateful to everyone who took the time to put forward an application and share their ideas with us.
So if you haven’t entered your ideas into this funidng round, it’s not too late! You might be eligeable for funding and the next round is copming up. If you are thinking about running a creative event or project, we’d love to hear from you!
The Creative Communities Scheme supports local arts and cultural activities that encourage participation, creativity and connection in communities across the Coromandel. If you have a creative idea that could benefit your community, keep an eye out for the next funding round and consider putting in an application.
You don’t have to be an established arts organisation to apply. Individuals, groups and community organisations can all have great ideas worth supporting.
Have a creative idea? Start thinking about your next application now!
