Aroha Hathaway

Aroha Hathaway is a dynamic woman with a multitude of experience in varying media fields. Radio, television, film, theatre and development have been centre of her universe for the past 10 years.

Aroha has travelled extensively and lived in South America. As a result, she speaks three languages and is culturally and sociologically pro-active.

She attended Victoria University where she studied Law, Maori, Politics and English Literature.

She then went on to spend time working in the education sector before returning to her first professional love, broadcasting.

Broadcasting is where she has made an impact very early on for NZ’s leading radio broadcaster, The Radio Network, and has been hugely successful in various roles in radio, television, print, web and film.

She is now contracted across Current Affairs and Music Radio formats at MediaWorks stations MagicTALK, THE ROCK and MORE FM. Her roles as a writer, journalist and on-air announcer show off her multifaceted talents at Newshub.

Aroha is the Director of ProjectAroha and owner of ArohArt Gallery in Thames, where she now resides.
