Next week, from Wednesday, the 20th, to Sunday, the 24th OF NOVEMBER, Coromandel Independent Living Trust, Artists in the Making, and Te Mana Tangata will team up to celebrate three years of creativity and social connectivity with a four-day exhibition and daily drop-in workshops.
The amazing results of three years of engagement will be showcased during the four-day exhibition at Hauraki House Gallery Coromandel. In addition, there will be fun ‘have-a-go-drop-in’ art workshops on each day.
Art is a powerful tool for fostering both physical and mental well-being. Research shows that creating and experiencing art helps manage anxiety, improves mental clarity, and elevates overall well-being. Art’s impact on physical health is equally profound; activities like painting, sculpting, and movement-based art engage fine motor skills, boost hand-eye coordination, and encourage active participation, supporting physical vitality.
Thanks to Creative Spaces funding, CILT has made these benefits widely available while fairly compensating the skilled local artists who lead these workshops.
The joint organisers are part of the national Arts Access Aotearoa network, working toward a shared vision: that everyone in Aotearoa can access and participate in the arts.
“Art is life-changing. We are proud to showcase our work in this exhibition. And we very much look forward to the drop-in art workshops with our fabulous artists. All ages welcome.”
Join in at the Creative Spaces Exhibition to celebrate the joy and transformative power of art in our community!
