Join in the delightful madness of the 10th annual Steampunk Festival, running over four days from November 6th to 9th. Come and enjoy the fun, entertainment, competitions, dancing, prancing, games, and gadgets. The perfect opportunity to unleash your creative side and get amongst it! Bring the family, there’s fun for everyone.

This is a great weekend to visit Thames; on Saturday at 11 am, the “Steampunk Parade” is a must-see event. This is followed by free entertainment, including the innovative world percussion band “AKSamba” from Auckland, outside the St John’s Union Parish.

At 2 pm, the fantastic “Steampunk Strut” fashion show kicks off at the Thames Civic Centre. This is a unique opportunity to see fashion artistry at its finest, with every stitch and seam telling a story of ingenuity and creativity. Admission is $5 per person or a gold coin for kids; a fashion show not to be missed!

In the evening, you have the choice of two extraordinary ticketed events: “The Cog and Corset Cabaret” and “Punk at The Pump House’.

On Sunday, this marvellous weekend continues with “Steampunk Sprocket Sunday” at Victoria Park in Thames. This is an enjoyable, free family event that includes “Teapot Racing”, “Punk My Pet”, “Hobby Horse racing”, and the wonderful free entertainment of “Flames Of Plenty” and “Give it a Go Circus”. There is also a Steampunk Market, along with numerous food vendors. Come on down and enjoy the festivities under the beautiful trees at Victoria Park.
