For the first two weekends this month, 4-5 Oct, and 11-12 Oct, Coromandel will be buzzing with art enthusiasts eager to explore the latest creative work during The Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour.

This is the 19th year that Coromandel artists will open their studios to the public, with 33 of our best creators taking part, presenting work in a wide variety of media, including painting, printmaking, glass art, woodwork, pastel art, model construction, fabric art, and sculpture.

An associated exhibition featuring a piece of work by every participating artist will take place at Hauraki House Gallery, open from 4th to 12th October. It is a good idea to start the tour at Hauraki House, where you can preview the work and decide who to visit. Guide books are available at Hauraki House, the Information Centre and other art-related outlets. The guide can also be downloaded from the Artstour website.

This is a free event and all studios are within easy driving distance from the town centre. In fact, most studios can easily be visited by bicycle.

The Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour is generously supported by Creative Coromandel and is part of the coromandel artbeat spring festival, and by Colville/ Coromandel Community Board. This year, we are grateful for the promotional partnership with Coromind.
