MEET GODDESSES FROM AROUND THE WORLD & Meet Yourself. With Therry Weerts
Every culture has told stories about powerful women. Pachamama in the Andes, Spider Woman in the American Southwest, Sekhmet in Egypt, Persephone in Greece, Brigid in Ireland. Different names, and a lot of the same qualities running underneath.
Over six evenings we explore one goddess at a time. Each class opens with her story, with time to sit with it. Then you draw.
The invitation is to make an image that holds what the story stirred in you rather than an illustration of the myth.
You don't need to be able to draw. There's guidance at every step, no critique, and nobody compares work. It's two satisfying hours with other women, a table full of colour, and a drawing of your own to take home.
Along the way you'll meet the qualities these goddesses carry: the wise woman, the healer, the guardian, the maker.
No skill or experience is required. All materials are supplied in class.
