Are you an arts passionate local keen to contribute to the governance team supporting the arts sector on the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki rohe?

He Mana Toi Moehau Trust/Creative Coromandel is the central arts network for the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki rohe. We were formed back in 2016 by the Thames-Coromandel District Council (TCDC), as a result of a TCDC-supported consultation with the Coromandel arts sector.

Our purpose is to deliver a unified approach to promotion, advocacy and representation of the visual and performing arts across the District. Our Governance Board of Trustees and Committee members are all arts passionate local volunteers committed to advocating for and championing the arts in the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki rohe, and our mahi is supported by two paid part-time contractors.

Creative Coromandel is currently engaging in an exciting redefinition process to ensure we are fulfilling our role as the central arts network for the District, and successfully catering to all audiences (artists, arts organisations and arts-appreciators, locals and visitors).

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from arts minded locals who have the skills, passion and available time to join our team as a Chairperson.

This is a voluntary role with flexible and variable hours – five to ten hours per week on average – most of which can be carried out remotely.

To apply please send your resume and a 1-page cover letter that explains what the arts means to you and what you can offer Creative Coromandel. Please email applications to: info@creativecoromandel.co.nz
