Ted is a local Whangamatā artist. He is of Ngati Rangitihi (Te Arawa) descent and has Scottish and English heritage.
Formerly, as a landscaper & designer, Ted installed his large sculptures in many of the gardens he created.
He works mainly with concrete, timber, copper and resins as well as colouring using oxides and acid stains.
