ArohArt is an art shop stocking only Māori made Māori art, both traditional and contemporary. It is owned and operated by Thames born and bred media personality Aroha Hathaway and her son, graphic designer Tikirau Hathaway.
The founders of ArohArt created the store after discovering a lot of the Maori art on the Coromandel Peninsula in galleries and shops was NOT created by Māori, let alone local Māori artists. ArohArt aims to be a Hauraki art hub, bringing authenticity and sustainability to the local Māori art scene.
