Mercury Bay Art Escape Coromandel Peninsula is a collective of 50+ eclectic artists including potters, sculptors, painters, printmakers, photographers, flax weavers, woodworkers, mosaic artists, jewellers, a glass artist, and a furniture maker. The annual Open Studios is held over the first two weekends in March.

Artists are centred around the picturesque coastal area of Mercury Bay on the Eastern Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, encompassing the areas of Hikuai, Tairua, Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cooks Beach, Whenuakite, Coroglen, Whitianga, Kuaotunu, Rings Beach, and Opito Bay.

The annual artist's open studios provide a unique opportunity to visit member artists in their studios, to see their work in progress, find what inspires them and what new art they are working on.  It also gives you the chance to buy original work from some of the best artists in Mercury Bay direct from their studios.
