Kay de Blaauw

I grew up in a family that loved art and encouraged creativity, so art was part of my life from an early age. 

I have recently joined Printmakers Combined and look forward to working with another medium.

Painting gives me a sense of freedom and a way to express myself.  My paintings often reflect the vibrant colours, forms and contrasts around me. I am currently drawn towards the deep colours of the sea, the rugged cliffs of Lonely Bay, the graceful sea-birds that soar above, and the contrasts between the brilliant greens, rusts and pink foliage in my garden.
