Pottery Workshop. With Richard Naylor

In this workshop at 121 Martha Street Studios in Thames, Richard Naylor will help you form your own special handmade cups using 2 traditional Japanese techniques that are simple forms of pottery which are often thought of as sculptural, slow and intentional ways of creating, but ways that can result in a beautiful organic shape that is individual to the maker. $135 Includes all materials, equipment, glazing of your finished pieces and 2 kiln firings. Richard Naylor is a professional potter who trained in Japan and has been making ceramics for over 20 years. He teaches at Auckland Studio Potters and The Clay Centre. Richard supplies a number of restaurants in Auckland and in Paris. He works on the wheel and hand-builds a variety of domestic ware and sculptural ceramics that sell in a number of galleries around NZ.
