The New Zealand String Quartet Heartfelt, soulful, and full of life – that’s the New Zealand String Quartet - and we are about to host them in Coromandel Town! The New Zealand String Quartet, our longest-serving professional chamber music ensemble, has a reputation for insightful interpretations, compelling communication, and a dynamic performing style.  Join the Quartet for an intimate and atmospheric night to remember - world-class music right here at home in Aotearoa New Zealand. You’ll be treated to their signature style of personally introducing each piece of music to illuminate the stories behind the compositions and make the evening a special and engaging event for all audiences. Two beloved pieces of classical canon, Haydn’s much-loved “Lark” quartet and Borodin's string quartet no. 2, will bracket a world- premiere by Mika Cornelius, a young New Zealand composer. From newcomers to the artform, to the most seasoned chamber music fan, there is something to excite everyone. The world-class quartet comprises founding member Gillian Ansell (Viola) and newly appointed Peter Clark (Violin). For this concert Gillian and Peter will be joined by two acclaimed guest artists: violinist Anna Lee and cellist Dominic Lee. For the detailed background of each member of the quartet and their outstanding achievements, see https://www.nzsq.org.nz/ "…a never-to-be-forgotten experience for all who attended." - Elizabeth Bouman, Otago Daily Times Friday 12 September   7:30pm Hauraki House Theatre Coromandel $30 Tickets: Coromandel Town Information Centre Ph. 07 866 8598   Email: info@coromandeltown.nz
