Thames Music Group presents | Harpsichord - Irihapeti

Irihāpeti and Friends brings together community and school musicians to share the Thames High School harpsichord. Named for its donor Liz Butterfield, Irihāpeti arrived at the school in 2023 and is a favourite in the Music Room, where she presides over the main room and is enjoyed by many a student who sits to ‘tinker’ and enjoy this special instrument on their way past. This recital features experienced musicians from within our community, including Dr Nichola Voice, HOD, playing alongside primary and secondary students. The programme is mostly Baroque music of course, but we also feature an original composition written specifically for Irihāpeti, and some Folk music that was scored for harpsichord.
