Friday Lunchtime Concert Features Te Kura o Te Kauaeranga Thames South School Students For the third year in a row, Thames Music Group has invited a local primary school to perform for us. Thames Music Group’s June 2026 Free Friday Lunchtime Concert will feature students from the Te Kura o Te Kauaeranga, Thames South School:   “Our rōpū Kapahaka has been active for over 30 years. Our current students are mostly mokopuna and tamariki of the original group. Waiata and haka have been used continuously throughout our kura to celebrate the identity of our tamariki, their whānau and mana whenua. Our tamariki range from 6 to 12 years old. Some will be taking the stage for the first time while others have been enthusiastic and committed performers of our rōpū for many seasons. Our tutors are drawn from our staff and Kura whānau. Our performance includes both local and original waiata, with a mixture of poi, haka and solo items.”   Come and support our local school children and enjoy their performance at this free concert.
