Shrines to Peace Group Art Show

About the 'Shrines to Peace' Art project. Lotus Realm donated a quantity of blank shrine boxes to the project, and a diverse selection of artists from the local Thames Community were invited to take a blank box and use it to express something about the concept of 'Peace'. The artists are generously donating their time, skill, vision and materials to create these works. They are anticipating a wide range of styles, techniques, content and concepts befitting a group show. The Shrines will be available for purchase, and proceeds will go towards the Buddhaloka/Thames Buddhist Centre, a 'place of peace' where meditation and dharma teaching is offered free of charge. The opening of the show, from 5.30pm on Friday 3rd June at the Back Room venue at Lotus Realm, 714 Pollen St, Thames, and the show runs for the month of June.
