Inspiring and thoughtful stories include long-distance love on a distant planet, precocious children up to mischief, a whole town stuck waiting for bad luck to pass, and a man stuck in a time loop. Comedy, science fiction, romance and coming-of-age classics abound.   Show Me Shorts 2026: Award Winners Sunday October 18th at 4pm Watch all the winning short films from the Show Me Shorts awards in one session. Enjoy the very best in local and international short film making. Show Me Shorts is an Oscar- qualifying film festival, meaning the winners of the top awards will become qualified for entry to the Academy Awards. Note: Final run time and classification rating to be confirmed once the winners are decided. May not be suitable or available for under 16 years of age to view (to be confirmed).
