Be part of the hāngī prep. Peeling veges,
making stuffing, cooking fry bread &
having fun working together!

HĀNGĪ FIRE & ACTIVITIES
See the process of a hāngī being cooked and take part in activities, games and stalls in the park.
Where: Williamson Park
When: Friday 10th July, all morning.
HĀNGĪ & CONCERT
Celebrate Matariki as a community with a delicious feed of
hāngī & kai moana & performances on the outdoor stage.
Where: Williamson Park (wet weather backup Memorial Hall)
When: Friday 10th July, 1:30pm
What: BYO chair or picnic rug to eat in the park
Tickets available at the Info Centre & Community Services Trust.
Tickets limited to 600. Other kai will be available for those
who miss out on hāngī tickets.
WORKSHOPS
Participate in a variety of workshops and create a special Matariki tāonga
to gift to a loved one. Workshops include a variety of art mediums,
whakaori (carving), raranga (weaving), kite making, kai and exhibitions.

WAKA AMA PADDLE & BBQ
Have a go at Waka Ama & experience the joy of paddling
on our beautiful harbour. No experience needed.
Where: Whangamatā Harbourside (next to the marina)
