Harcourts Challenge & Big Arts Day Out

Join us in Whangamata for the annual Harcourts Challenge & BIG ARTS DAY OUT! This is a highly anticipated event that showcases the best of creativity and local talent. This year promises to be bigger than ever, and offers the introduction of a new writing category, alongside a diverse range of visual art categories.
This premier event will again be held from 24-26 January 2025. The theme The Senses arises from the interaction between the external world and the human body’s sensory organs: Sight, Smell, Taste or Touch. There will be a writers’ section along with the visual category (both 2D and 3D) for the first time in 2025. There are monetary prizes for each category, along with a people’s choice award.
