The Whitianga Lions Club is holding an Art Expo from the 3rd to the 6th June at the Whitianga Town Hall. There are over 500 different forms of art for sale including paintings in various forms, sculptures, pottery, photography, mixed media, weaving, quilting, wooden art, glass art, prints with screen and canvas prints included and featuring over 60 artists.

The event will commence with a promotional evening on Friday 3rd with a free glass of wine or juice on arrival and some tasty nibbles at 5.30pm closing at 9pm. On Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th the doors will open at 10am and close at 4pm and on Monday 6th they will be open from 10am to 1pm.

Profits from the Expo will be donated to the Mercury Bay Community Pool Trust who are raising funds to heat the swimming pool at Mercury Bay Area School for all round community use for a longer period of the year.

Whitianga Lions are pleased to have the support and sponsorship of Ockham Residential, Whitianga waterways, Richardson’s Real Estate, The Informer, Peninsula Roofing and Scaffolding and Tis The Season.

The prices of the Art on sale varies from $20 to over $3000 so there will be something to suit all tastes and prices.
