The music is back!
Not since July 2021 have the walls at the historic Kauaeranga Valley Hall resonated to the sound of music. But that is set to change with Kauaeranga Music’s first concert for 2022 on Sunday afternoon 12 June.
“We have been hanging out for this day, waiting until we all can feel safe to gather together for live music once again” said Peter Revell from Kauaeranga Music. “So many people have commented on how they miss the opportunity to kick back and engage with quality live music and musicians”.
Albi & The Wolves are set to fire up the stage, and fill hearts with hope, with their energetic and relatable alternative indie folk songs.
The trio, Chris Dent, Pascal Roggen and Michael Young, has a huge sound that is simply created by an acoustic guitar, electric violin, double bass and their three voices. They have crafted a stage show full of energy and moments for reflection.
Since 2014 they have gone from strength to strength touring in Australia, New Zealand and Rarotonga and in 2018 they took home the Best Folk Artist Award at the NZVMA’s.
What makes the band special is the sense of community that follows them everywhere they go - whether it’s connection through dance, laughter or singing, audiences feel radiant after shows and keep coming back for more.
Chris Dent (Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Stomp)
Pascal Roggen (Electric Violin, Backing Vocals)
Michael Young (Double Bass, Backing Vocals)
