Are you an arts passionate local keen to contribute to the governance team supporting the arts sector on the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki rohe?

A little bit about us…

In 2015, driven by the Thames-Coromandel arts sector, a District-wide arts strategy was created through consultation with artists, art leaders and arts groups, to develop, promote and sustain local artists and arts activities. In 2016 the Arts & Creative Industries Strategy was adopted by TCDC and an Advisory Board with representation from all five wards was formed to implement it.

Fast forward 5 years and this Advisory Board is now He Mana Toi Moehau Trust, commonly known as Creative Coromandel – an independent charitable trust, made up of visual artists, performing artists and arts leaders.

Our Board are all arts passionate local volunteers committed to advocating for and championing the arts in the Thames-Coromandel District and Hauraki rohe and our mahi is supported by two local paid part-time contractors.

Creative Coromandel is the central arts network for the Coromandel Peninsula and the Hauraki rohe.
